If I could automate tasks based on due date or status in OneNote, I would drop my task manager app.Īlso if you're looking to keep a dashboard or any kind of progress tracking, I've never seen any way to automate something like that in OneNote either. This popular website for free PowerPoint templates stocks a massive collection of professional templates in different categories such as wedding, business, religious, graduation, nature and abstract. I'm not that familiar with macros but you may find what you need.įrom there my guess is that you'll either have to work on building your setup or look for someone who can build it for you by bringing together various pieces. ![]() OneNote Gem and Onetastic have macro addins that can add some capabilities for you. You'll probably need to customize them but they're a good starting point. They have excellent templates for project tracking, meetings, strategic planning, etc. Auscomp won't automate anything for you but they have some pretty good templates and they are set up to link pages and sections to each other where it makes sense in the use case. Lines/Grids, background color, any and all text, pictures, and links, whether or not the title is visible, etc. To save this page as a template go to the View menu and select "Paper Size." At the bottom of the Paper Size pane, click "Save current page as a template." (You can also adjust page size, orientation, etc if you want.) Do note that everything about this page becomes the template. You can then right click the link and click "edit link" to change what text is displayed. You now have a page with a link that will always go back to the to-do list. Next, once the tasks are typed up, click the "." at the top of the container, then right click the same and in the drop down menu click "copy link to paragraph." Basically, when you start typing on a page a container is generated. If, in what your case sounds like, it's a single list of check box tasks, those would all be in one "container" as OneNote calls them.Ī container is nothing but a boxed area (the box is only visible while editing the area) that groups all included items together. I would have one central page with all of the things that will need to carry over. If I were trying to do this part in one note, here's my approach:
